The Sony a9 III is the world's first full-frame mirrorless camera to feature a global electronic shutter with simultaneous readout. Another challenge with such a long-zooming lens, and a factor that's exacerbated with the teleconverters, is that extreme focal lengths can make it difficult to track fast-moving subjects. For flowers, I found myself stopping the lens down to F10 to F14 since depth of field is so narrow when shooting so close.

M.Zuiko teleconverter to boost your reach to a powerful 35mm-equivalent 1120mm or 1600mm respectively. This zoom lens offers super telephoto performance in a 200 to 800mm (35mm equivalent) range in a compact, lightweight form. ZERO (Zuiko Extra-low Reflection Optical) Coating is used to reduce ghosting and flaring, for clear image quality, even in poor, backlit conditions. The buttery smooth rendering helps in adding depth to the images, as the lens captures super sharp main subject in focus with plenty of details and contrast, the background that is creamy and smooth helped boosted the illusion of 3D effect.

This is good news to videographers, but unlikely to affect stills photography so much, as roll movement only really causes blur at much slower shutter speeds than one would use hand-held with this lens.Even in my own hands, I found myself comparing this lens to the 300mm which I have been shooting with since it came out in late 2015. Even under very challenging light it quickly acquired focus and with the incredible image stabilization of both the lens and the Mark III there was little to no motion blur even when shooting from a very unstable platform, my kayak. By using longer focal lengths to shoot flowers, you can eliminate much of the background clutter which really makes the flowers stand out.

This would give me only one full day to try out the lens in this beautiful spot before I had to head back home. Photograph and film without worrying about blur and capture the shots you want without the need for a bulky tripod. It was raining steadily the day the lens arrived, but with the weatherproof construction and our flowers in the backyard in bloom, off I went to start testing the lens. I chose to use my kayak instead of my canoe because it was light, easy to handle and would allow me to move quickly. at the telephoto end, the Olympus 100-400mm lens gives you the opportunity to work well in low-light without compromising quality. For quite some time now the Olympus 300mm f/4 IS Pro was the longest super-tele lens in their modern M. That did not stop me purchasing one, but I have to admit I am considering a G9 and the Pany version for the sinc IS. Most importantly I could rest the camera and lens comfortably on my lap while paddling, and with the exceptional weather sealing, I knew it didn't matter if I splashed water into the cockpit.
