Description

Shortly before the recording of their follow-up, lead vocalist Bon Scott died after a night of heavy alcohol consumption. Due to inventory and accounting purposes, we do not exchange items received for different items than originally purchased. As with all the reissues of AC/DC's music, the inner sleeve is printed with information around the making of the album (as well as press photos and newspaper excerpts), which is a nice bonus. Most purchases from business sellers are protected by the Consumer Contract Regulations 2013 which give you the right to cancel the purchase within 14 days after the day you receive the item. The album's raw energy and fantastic sound made my pulse race hard and air guitar playing was inevitable (much to my initial embarassment when my mum walked in to see me dancing around the room naked except for skimpy shorts head banging away).

Produced by Robert John "Mutt" Lange, the album was released on 25 July 1980 by Albert Productions and Atlantic Records. The riff is akin to a more MOR hard rock tune and the song itself is not the usual rip-roarer that heralds a new AC/DC set.Two years later we made the move to our present address, 35 The Headrow, where we have remained ever since. Back in Black is one of the best rock albums ever - and certainly one of the most popular - but arguably not AC/DC's best.

What do you do for Money, Honey' is similar insomuch as it sounds pretty awful at first and then the infectious chorus gets you and you have to succumb to its base charms. The songs are as fresh as the day they were first wrote - the guitar playing is awesome and Johnson does a great job of the singing - his voice capturing a malevolence and anger that haunts the album and provides a fitting tribute to the former lead singer Bon Scott. They follow suit with 'Can I put My Love Into You', a song that is narratively and embarassingly transparent but undeniably catchy. Regardless of country of origin all tracks are sung in English, unless otherwise stated in our description.

It wasn't a massive change, and Brian Johnson is very suited to the role, but coming after the 5 (or 6) albums prior to this, it was very noticeable. Get an audio-technica record player with counterweight and antiskating and you'll have to problems with skipping.
