The pace was great, creating a suspicious mind-set was successful, and there was something about the writing that was so unassuming but detailed that I was just eating up. Não achei que fosse bem um thriller mas sim um livro que nos mostra como a dor de uma morte pode ser ultrapassada e os caminhos que são percorridos para que esta seja ultrapassada. And, if you like the combination of both and would like to read another 5 star teen debut, you really should grab yourself a copy of More of Me by Kathryn Evans. The supporting characters are equally believable and three dimensional, each with a detailed backstory that explains their behaviour and attitudes.

Sue's books are just amazing, she makea the story come to life, and for me when I read a book I take a long time to finish it, but I can take a week to read this wonderful books. Shame that the ending wasn’t as great but it sounds like the author did a really good job of exploring these themes and adapting them to a younger audience. The writing was strong and the mystery over the mystery texter made me suspect every person about the camp. Skye is a bit of a prickly character, I liked her right away, but the way she acts when she first comes to camp, and the judgements she makes of Fay, Brandon, Danielle did annoy me a little bit, especially since Fay seemed quite sweet and sensitive, and almost like you wanted to protect her from the big, bad world, but after what Faye goes through, losing her sister, you can kind of understand it, why would you want to get close to people when you see what happens to your blood, for crying out loud? You can change your choices at any time by visiting Cookie preferences, as described in the Cookie notice. I was expecting a big plot twist at the end, regarding the main story, but what we get is satisfactory.

Loved this book - it's officially a Young Adult title and it's a very long time since I was a young adult, but the engaging central character and the twists and turns of the plot kept me reading. Straight from the offset the writing draws you into the setting and you can quite easily imagine a hot summers days lounging by a glistening blue pool. A simple, sweet, creepy story, a little scary in the starting but fully entertaining with a wonderful story. With a bit more refinement and a stronger setting, it would have been better, but still an enjoyable read. Already caught in a nightmare of recurring dreams and panic attacks as the messages continue and things at Morley start to take a more sinister turn Skye is forced to confront her fear that her mysterious text “stalker” is amongst the group. Teenage Skye (her age isn't given but it appears she is about 15) loses her sister to a murder/drowning accident, a tragedy that rips apart her family and sends her into seclusion, denial, and an unhealthy extended mourning. E Lockhart paints a vivid portrait of the Sinclair family, spinning an addictive tale of first love, friendship and family that teens will find impossible to put down.
