Made with a velvet suede upper and lambswool for cozy comfort, we found that they keep your feet warm during the winter without feeling too hot. A common complaint with some slippers is that the interior lining is too hot for the warmer months. Suede, faux fur, and shearling can cause feet to sweat, which can be uncomfortable when wearing them for long periods. Shopping for a dad, brother, or husband? Opt for these stylish and functional suede leather moccasins from Lands’ End. Available in four colors and both medium and wide sizes, the suede upper looks undeniably sophisticated and mimics a fashionable loafer, while the rubber sole provides traction on all surfaces, including the driveway or sidewalk. After wearing the slippers for a year, the soles suffered no wear and tear, and the exterior remained in pristine condition. While the interior became a bit matted over time, the foam sole stayed cushioned and comfortable. We were overall impressed with the great value you get for such a low price tag, though we were a bit disappointed by the sizing. The slippers don’t come in half sizes, and we found that sizing down was a bit tight while sizing up was a bit too loose. The bottom of the shoes are made of an EVA that is waterproof and slip-resistant, so you could probably get away with wearing these outside of the house for a short period of time, such as getting the mail. We noticed that the faux fur did shed a little bit, which made us hesitant to put the sandals in the washing machine (they are machine-washable, according to the brand). After wearing the slippers for three months, the footbed also got a bit discolored and some of the inner fluff started to unravel.

If you love wearing classic Crocs in your everyday life, you’ll love this plush-lined version, designed for the indoors. The lined clogs have the same shape as traditional Crocs but have a faux fur lining to keep your feet warm. We found the lining to be overly warm, even with the breezy rubber upper, so we recommend these for winter use. Another great attribute of the Tasman Slippers is that they have a solid outsole that allows the wearer to take them outside without ruining the bottoms of the shoe. The outsole is actually the same as the classic Ugg boot, so there’s nothing stopping you from running errands in these slippers. Are you a furry pom pom mule with kitten heel type of slipper wearer? Or are you more of a cute and characterful critter type? If it’s the latter, then we think you’re going to be perfectly happy with our range. Choose from an adorable 3D unicorn design or super cute 3D dachshund. These could make perfect gifts, too. Slippers that are warm underfootThe brand that has become famous for making the most comfortable sneaker has also managed to pull off making a super comfortable slipper. We couldn’t get over how soft the Wool Dwellers were, thanks to the upcycled merino-wool material, which is considered the softest type of wool on the market. In addition to the extremely cushioned insides, the gorgeous exterior similarly exceeded our expectations. Even after weeks of wear, the outside looked as good as it had when we first tried them on. The most important thing to know is that outsoles made of leather, as well as any other type of fabric, will not hold up outdoors and, according to Wurster, are less slip-resistant. If you buy slippers with those types of outsoles, wear them inside only. Usually, brands specify whether you can wear the slippers outside, so make sure to verify that before you buy. Slipper soles tend to be thin and can lead to discomfort when worn for long periods of time. Memory foam soles, on the other hand, offer greater cushioning, which can make a tremendous difference for those who often spend hours on their feet.

We were impressed by the shoes’ high-quality construction, particularly the bright suede and decorative stitch design. The inner fur did begin to flatten after three months of wearing them, but the soles and suede remained in perfect condition. Keep in mind that the slippers do have a short break-in period, so they may not feel cozy right away. When we first tried them on, they were super hard and tight, but they gradually loosened up and became more comfortable over time.

We loved the style of the shoe but had some issues with the quality. After wearing these for more than 50 hours, the faux-fur lining started to feel less fluffy, and the suede on the sides of the shoes showed signs of wear. The lining also made our feet feel sweaty, which isn’t surprising as synthetic materials tend to do that. And if you’re looking for arch support, we recommend looking elsewhere. Despite these grievances, we still saw value in these shoes and would advise people to get them based on their style and overall coziness. We tested 23 different slippers and assessed them on design, quality, comfort, durability, warmth, and value. Our first test involved rating the comfort of the slippers after first trying them on. We evaluated the quality of the materials and whether the fit felt right in accordance with our size. When we slipped on the Vionic Relax Slippers for the first time, we were blown away by the arch support. These were the most supportive slippers we tested, they have Vionic’s signature orthotic footbed is covered in terrycloth for a soft and supportive step every time. They felt comfortable for hours—without a single blister or moment of pain. However, you shouldn’t wear your slippers outdoors for a very long time at all because they aren’t designed for prolonged outdoor wear. Slippers don’t have the support that regular shoes do, and over time, wearing slippers for a prolonged period will have a negative effect on your foot. For long-term testing, we evaluated the slippers’ performance after three months and one year of use. We used all this information to come up with the best slippers.
